24 LIES BY KAMALA HARRIS DURING PENCE-HARRIS VP DEBATE
The Trump-Pence Presidential Campaign has published a response to 24 false/misleading claims by Kamala Harris in the televised Pence-Harris VP debate on 10/7/2020, correcting the record. The following are the issues about which Harris made false or misleading claims.
- Trump called coronavirus a hoax.
- Trump-Pence administration has no plan for dealing with coronavirus outbreak.
- Trump paid $750 in taxes in 2016/17.
- Trump nixed infrastructure spending plan.
- Trump administration shepherded a tax bill benefiting only the wealthiest 1% of Americans and largest American corporations.
- Biden-Harris administration would not raise taxes on Americans with less than $400,000 annual income.
- Biden would not ban fracking.
- Biden was responsible for a swift economic recovery after the recession during the Obama presidency.
- The current national “economy is a complete disaster.”
- Trump is using the courts to abolish the ACA, the effect of which will be inaccessibility of healthcare insurance coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.
- If Trump prevails in abolishing the ACA, 20 million Americans with pre-existing conditions will lose their healthcare insurance.
- Trump lost US-China trade war.
- US is in a manufacturing recession due to loss of US-China trade war.
- Trump fired staffers of the National Security Council’s pandemic response team.
- Trump referred to US military members “as suckers and losers.”
- Trump’s US-Iran agreement resulted in US being “less safe” from nuclear attack from Iran.
- Trump referred to Neo-Nazis and white supremacist Charlottesville demonstrations as “fine people” and did not condemn them.
- In Trump-Biden debate, Trump refused to condemn white supremacists.
- Harris, as California’s Attorney General, “was the first statewide officer to institute a requirement that my agents would wear body cameras and keep them on full-time.”
- Russia had bounties on the heads of American soldiers, and Trump Administration did nothing about it.
- When a SCOTUS seat was vacated 27 days before the 1864 election, President Lincoln declined to fill it until after the election because it was “not the right thing to do.”
- Biden’s has always advocated and held to the policy that a vacant SCOTUS seat so close to the election should not be filled until after the election by the president-elect.
- Harris raised the issue of SCOTUS packing and then refused to answer Pence’s question if the Biden-Harris administration would pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices including by increasing the number of Justices on the court.
- Trump-Pence administration scrubbed the word “science” from US government websites.
