By Steven Lambert

For three years or so the Lord has been speaking to me out of the prophetic prediction of Malachi 3:1-6 concerning imminent events that He will be orchestrating in the Church that He is building, i.e., the genuine Body of Christ. In the first quarter of this year, the Lord has been continually increasing the intensity and urgency of what he has been showing and telling me in this regard. I cannot possibly convey much at all of those prophetic insights He’s been communicating to me here in this forum and format or at this time because it is far too expansive and extensive and I have only recently begun to attempt to transfer it from my spirit to paper, so to speak, or in reality, to computer. I will, however, be progressively sharing it in some books and study courses I am currently and concurrently working on.

Anyone who has any substantial experience in “prophetic writing” knows how arduous, strenuous, and time-consuming such an endeavor can be, especially when words so often fail when attempting to convey spiritual impressions, concepts, precepts, and insights into human language as the medium of natural – i.e., intellectual – assimilation. I cannot account for the experiences of other prophets, but I know in my own case, what I “see” in my spirit, is so clear, precise, unambiguous, forthright, apparent, but when I attempt to communicate what I’ve seen in the spirit for consumption by others, words/language fail, and communication methodology conventions hinder rather than help. Or maybe in reality its just my own communication capacities that are lacking.

Many times I’ve wished that God would allow at least momentarily a peeling back of the clouds of human carnality overlaying our spiritual senses (hearing and sight) so that pristine spirit-to-spirit communication could transpire, but as idealistic and desirable as that might seem, it is not His plan or desire. Maybe some of those who are called upon by the Lord to communicate prophetically to God’s people understand what I am trying – probably ineptly and inartfully – to say.

Notwithstanding, I rise today through the auspices of this forum to make a sincere and earnest attempt to convey what I believe I received as a prophetic word from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, which He has instructed me to convey to the Church He is building, that is, His Body. A few days ago, I heard Him instructing me in my spirit to sit down at my computer, write what He speaks to me, and title it “A Prophetic Prognosis.” I did; He did; and what He spoke is what this article is about. It is too long and would take up too much space to place the whole message into this post format. So I have summarized what He spoke to me here and provided a link to the PDF document that contains the entire prophetic word.

It’s important to understand that the content is organized according to how I received it from the Lord and not in any order of ranking of importance, priority, or with respect to timeliness, at least by me. I only wrote what I heard, and have not interjected any of my own thoughts or opinions with regard to any of those “rankings.” It is also important to understand that when the Lord speaks through any human vessel, He has chosen to speak through that person knowing full-well the nature of that vessel’s intellect and communications capacities. There’s certain “elements,” if you will, of my intellect embedded in this document, which I believe is inevitable and unavoidable, but to the best of my knowledge I did not deliberately insert any of my own thoughts or even beliefs into this word. For the sake of purity of conveyance, I’m sure most prophetic people would to God that they could by some miracle entirely set aside their own intellect when conveying prophetic words, but I am not at all convinced that that is even what God desires or expects, or that it is even a plausible possibility.

I also am not stating or implying in this document anything with regard to how these matters are to be implemented. No one knows better than me that that is way beyond my pay-grade.

The only other impression I received regarding the matters delineated in the document is that it was at this time in particular that the Lord wanted me to publish this word and that though it is for the consumption and absorption (and judgment, by the way) of the entire Body of Christ (though I personally suspect only segments of the Pentecostal/Charismatic stream will receive it), He particularly wants top leaders of networks, protodenominations, and denominations to read and consider the message. Albeit, as the mere prophetic agent He has tasked with conveying the message, there is virtually nothing I personally can do to orchestrate any of that aside from publishing it as I have done here. It is with “fear and trembling” that I submit this prophetic word I believe I received from the Lord to be judged by the Body of Christ.

One final thing I feel led to say is that some church leaders, unfortunately, will be, and some already are, finding themselves experiencing scenarios and circumstances that are a prophetic repudiation of some false beliefs/concepts they have believed and have been promulgating. Though it seems like a contradiction of what you have come to know about God’s ways, God has temporarily allowed these adversities, trials, troubles, and tribulations to come into your life in order to get through to you regarding certain teachings, concepts, and doctrines you have been maintaining and promulgating and that He has been patiently attempting to bring reproof and correction to you about, but you have stubbornly and obstinately refused to hear His Voice (Heb. 3:14-15). When you turn (as Jesus told Peter), the empowerment to overcome those scenarios and circumstances will return and manifest once again in your life. Don’t wait or procrastinate; seek Him now and listen to His Voice, and obey Him! There’s too much at stake to resist or refuse His Voice any longer, or to dance around the fire; lives are at stake!

What follows is the scripture passage on the backdrop of which He has been speaking to me for the last three years or so, a summation of the message, and a link at the end to download the PDF document containing the complete message.

“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness. “Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years. “Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me,” says the LORD of hosts. “For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. (Mal. 3:1-6)

Matters of Contention

The following are matters/issues before the Pentecostal/Charismatic church/stream/branch at this hour that some (singular or multiple) leadership entity needs to address/clarify/speak out about (publish statements/stances/whitepapers/position papers) as a means of providing guidance, definition, and understanding:

  • “Seven Mountains” teaching (Adopted/adapted from Marxism; heterodoxy)
  • Preterism / amillennialism
  • Modalism (Unitarianism, Oneness) vs. Trinitarianism (Who is God; the Godhead)
  • Universalism
  • Ecumenicism (with Catholic Church) / syncretism
  • Nicolaitanism
  • Extensionism/Continuism of New Order of Latter Rain
  • Extreme Prosperity Gospel

  • Emergent Church / Warrenism (Purpose Driven, seeker-friendly, etc.)
  • Deliverance/Exorcism for believers
  • Episcopacy extremism/overemphasis
  • Petrine Apostolic Succession – Holy Spirit makes (appoints) overseers (bishops); the concept that “you can’t make yourself a bishop” is not the issue, the Holy Spirit makes/appoints people overseers/bishops; the church only recognizes (cf., Acts 20:28)
  • Women occupying primary positions of governmental authority in the Church
  • Martial/combative/oriental arts/yoga and other practices rooted in eastern religions
  • Church Government
  • Free/unconstrained operation of the Manifestation Gifts (Charismata, Gifts of the Spirit)
  • Homosexuality by believers (“Christians”)
